A passion for exploring the outdoors.
Vito & Karen founded Go Overland Canada after discovering their love for Overlanding. With a shared passion for adventure, theyβve traveled to 50+ countries and lived on multiple continentsβyet Canada always felt like home. When searching for a rooftop tent, they knew a hardshell was the way to go for its speed and durability. However, they found the market dominated by big brands charging $4,000-$5,000 for just the tentβno extras, often without shipping included. Importing from the U.S. wasnβt much better, with high prices and a 20% duty. Thatβs when they decided to change the game.

Finding the perfect Manufacturer
Vito and Karen quickly spotted a gap in the market for high-quality rooftop tents with essential extras, shipped directly to consumers. With Vitoβs year-long stay in China and strong manufacturing connectionsβplus his father Frankβs 30+ years as a mechanical engineer sourcing tools for major automotive brandsβthey had a strategic advantage. Frankβs frequent trips to China allowed for hands-on collaboration, leading to multiple prototypes over six months. After extensive testing and working with four different manufacturers over two years, they finally perfected their design.
Expanding the Adventure, One Tent at a Time
